Attached, please find the fee assessment for the 2009 emission inventory. The rate calculated for 2009 is $ 70 per ton of pollutant. The 2008 fee was $ 62 per ton, making the 2009 fee up 13% from what we charged last year. Last May, we projected the fee for 2009 emissions to be $ 67 per ton. Our assessment is up from what was projected primarily because the emissions base went down (~ 2.5%) over which to charge fees. Emission fees collected on the 2009 emissions inventory are used to fund the program during state fiscal year 2011, beginning July 1, 2010.
