Applicability: |
eCFR Subpart Q [ecfr.gov]
This subpart applies to:
- Industrial process cooling towers that are operated with chromium-based water treatment chemicals and are either Major Sources or located at Major Sources of HAPs*.
"Chromium-based water treatment chemicals" means any combination of chemicals containing chromium used to treat water.
*Major Sources of HAPs emit or have the potential to emit:
- ≥ 10 tons/year of any single HAP; or
- ≥ 25 tons/year of total HAPs.
- Area Sources emit less than Major Sources.
