eCFR Subpart X [ecfr.gov]
This subpart applies to:
- Any of the following affected sources at secondary lead smelters:
- Blast, reverberatory, rotary, and electric furnaces;
- Refining kettles;
- Agglomerating furnaces;
- Dryers;
- Process fugitive emission sources;
- Buildings containing lead-bearing materials;
- Fugitive dust sources.
Definition of "Secondary Lead Smelter"
Any facility at which lead-bearing scrap material, such as lead-acid batteries, is recycled into elemental lead or lead alloys by smelting.
Exempt from this subpart:
- Primary lead processors
- Lead refiners
- Lead remelters
