Information Technology Business System Analyst

Full-time Permanent
$23.51 -  Hourly
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM -- Monday thru Friday

Under direct supervision, perform database management for hardware & software; maintain web conferencing hardware and software; maintain agency web page; work with online services; manage help ticket system; process agency user information; work with other analysts in maintaining all processes required in an IT section; perform related work as assigned.

  • Maintain agency web page;
  • Work with Public Information Office to receive data for web site;
  • Maintain agency hardware and software databases;
  • Create and manage users in our systems;
  • Help OCIO in ordering new computers;
  • Manage help system tickets;
  • Manage web meeting software hardware and training users to use the system;
  • Manage other IT related equipment; manage software licensing information;
  • Help support agency plotter/scanner and copier/printers; all other duties as assigned

Post high school coursework, training, or experience in the analysis of business processes and system requirements, and the creation of business process applications. 


Valid driver’s license or the ability to provide independent transportation; ability to lift 30 pounds; regular and reliable attendance.


  • Prefer experience/education in the following:  
  • Lotus Notes
  • Domino Designer 9
  • HTML coding
  • Java, JavaScript
  • Cascading Style Sheet (CSS)
  • Development or usage of online services
  • WebEx with Cisco equipment
  • Managing detailed equipment and software databases
  • Using an IBM i (AS/400)
  • Using PCs and Microsoft Office products
  • 2 years of increasingly responsible experience in general IT business processes
  • Prefer strong communication, analysis, problem solving, and testing skills


Knowledge of: Web development; database design, creation and maintenance; online services;  software development principles and methods; basic math; design techniques, principles, tools and instruments; principles, methods and procedures for designing, developing, optimizing, and integrating new and/or reusable systems components; software system testing procedures, programming and documentation.

Skill in: using basic math to solve problems; effective oral and written communication; active learning-working with new material or information to grasp its implications; reading comprehension; writing,

Ability to:  read and understand information and ideas presented, communicate information and ideas so others will understand; reason deductively-apply general rules to specific problems to come up with logical answers and decide if an answer makes sense; recognize a problem; put information in order; organize different pieces of information into a meaningful pattern; concentrate and not be distracted while performing a task over a period of time; perceive similarities and differences in pieces of information; think logically; organize, plan and prioritize work; understand that details matter; ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
