Site Summary:

Pollard Implement is located in the Village of North Bend, Nebraska, and is approximately 3/4 mile north of the Platte River. The site was reported to NDEQ in early 2006 with the in-place closure of one UST. The tank was filled with concrete, and one monitor well installed during the tank closure identified hydrocarbons in the soil and groundwater. The site sits on the southeast corner of Main St. and East 7th St. Approximately 75 feet south of Pollard Implement, there is a separate UST release and associated small plume that is being monitored. This site is known as Kruger Feed & Seed, UG# 042298-GH-1045. The two plumes do not appear to commingle, and the Kruger plume is not included in this bid procurement.

* The concentration over SSTLs is the figure used to calculate the 25, 50 and 75% reduction payment.
** These monitor wells are at or below detection limits of calculated SSTLs. The levels of contamination for these wells are not included in the Total Concentration of Wells Exceeding SSTLs.
*** As NDEQ has done in the past, the Benzene concentration is assumed for this Contract to calculate the incremental payments, after the free product is removed. The actual dissolved concentration after free product removal may be significantly higher or lower than the assumed concentration.

Site Specifications:

1. MW- 4 has been over the SSTLs in the past.

2. The first table (sampled 1/10/07) is listed for informational purposes only. The Contract will be awarded on the second table (sampled 7/24/08).

3. There will be a two year monitoring period for this site.

4. Overexcavation potential is to be negotiated between the property owner and the PFP Contractor. DEQ has not spoken to the property owner about overexcavation.

5. As of 9/1/2008 the property is for sale. Evelin Pollard is no longer looking after the property. Kitty Bailey is now the contact person for the site. Her phone number is noted above.
