Harry's Truck Stop dba Minatare Plaza is located in the panhandle of Nebraska, ten miles east of Scottsbluff and about two miles north of the Platte River. There have been several releases at this site from above ground sources. This includes a fueling pump that was "run over" in February of 1991, and allowed to release between 500 and 600 gallons of gasoline before the pumping system was shut down. This site will be a free product and dissolved contamination clean up that is Benzene and free product driven.

* These monitor wells are at or below detection limits or calculated SSTLs.
Units in mg/l, sampled on 2/10/06.
As we have done previously, wells with free product have an assumed dissolved Benzene concentration that will be used for interim payments once the free product is removed. In this case the assumed level is 15 mg/l.

Site Specifications:

1. Both concrete and gravel paving will be encountered at this site.

2. This is a operating truck stop. The manager would like a call before you visit the site. See name and phone number listed at the top of the page under property owner.

3. Spot overexcavation may be arranged with the owner at this site, if necessary.

4. Free product and dissolved contamination cleanup with a one year monitoring period.

5. For bidding purposes, this site will have one "total cost" and one "time to cleanup" bid for the entire project.

6. NDEQ will split the total bid price 50/50 for the two parts of the Contract. NDEQ will be incorporating both parts of this cleanup in the Contract, and the Contractor will still have incremental cleanup goals for both parts as before. The PFP Contractor will also have complete freedom to work on both parts of the cleanup at the same time or one part of the Contract as he/she deems necessary.
