Site Summary:
Dannebrog Auto was first reported to NDEQ on September 25, 2000, because of the removal of three underground storage tanks. Evidence of contamination was noted during the tank removal, and in August 2001 the site was activated. In December 2001 the site was added to the orphan tank priority list and was activated for a state-led investigation in January 2004. The site failed the Tier 1 and Tier 2 investigations because of free product present in one well and high dissolved benzene levels in a second well. The site was then selected for cleanup under the PFP program, and the PFP supplemental information was gathered in 2008. The site was resampled in 2010. Free product is still present in one well and has increased in thickness over the past few years. This will be a combined free product and dissolved phase cleanup with interim payments determined from the dissolved levels present.

Units in mg/l sampled on 07/28/10.
* These monitor wells are at or below detection limits or calculated SSTLs.
** The concentration over the SSTls is the figure used to calculate the 25, 50, and 75% reduction payment.
Wells with free product have an assumed dissolved Benzene concentration that will be used for interim payments once the free product is removed. Bassed on sampling results at this site, the assumed level is 13 mg/l.
