Site Summary:
In 1999 a total of 10 Underground Storage Tanks were removed from the site with four of the UST's having holes in them. The site was activated and the Tier 1 and 2 investigations were performed in 2001 through 2004. After completing the Tier process, it was determined that the site does not exceed the SSTL's for dissolved concentrations for petroleum. The site does have Free Product that will need to be removed so this PFP contract will be for Free Product removal only. M&H resides in east-central Nebraska with groundwater at about seven feet below surface. The service station building that sits on the lot is no longer being used except for storage.

Site Specifications:
1. This property owner has approved the use of overexcavation at this site.

2. Any concrete on the private property that is removed will need to be replaced.

3. All of the present dirt covered areas will be rock covered when the overexcavation is finished and/or the remedial system is installed.

4. The PFP Contractor is asked to contact the Village concerning any right-of-way concrete removal. The Village has shown an interest in cleaning up the "looks" of this property so the Department believes that they will be willing to work with the PFP Contractor especially if some of the right-of-way concrete will be replaced as a result of the overexcavation.
