NDEE Presents Free Workshop on Resources for Redeveloping Brownfields
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) will cohost a free, in-person workshop on state and federal resources available to assist with redevelopment of brownfields sites alongside the Technical Assistance to Brownfields Program (TAB) at Kansas State University and the Neligh Economic Development Office. This workshop is made possible by funding provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
This event is intended for local and regional government officials, economic and community development organizations, lenders and real-estate professionals, property owners, and anyone interested in learning about brownfields and financial resources for local redevelopment.

A limited number of travel stipends are available for eligible attendees who work for a community or organization that is located more than two hours away from Neligh, NE. About the workshop: The purpose of this workshop is to provide a space for brownfields experts and local officials to share their insight in redeveloping brownfields using state and federal resources. In addition to these defined presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences in redeveloping brownfields and accessing valuable resources.
About the presenters: Presenters will represent diverse stakeholder groups: local government officials, NDEE, Kansas State University TAB, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, History Nebraska, and Five Rule Rural Planning.
