Notice is given to the public, according to Chapter 14 of Title 129 - Nebraska Air Quality Regulations, that the Department is proposing to issue a Class II operating permit to the Village of Oxford Light Plant (FID #22872) for an operating permit for a municipal electrical generation power plant, (Standard Industrial Classification code 4911) located at 315 Odell Street in Oxford, Furnas County, Nebraska. The potential emissions of regulated air pollutants (in tons per year (tpy)) at this facility will be: 1.90 tpy of Particulate Matter (PM), 1.75 tpy of PM ≤ 10 microns (PM10), 1.70 tpy PM ≤ 2.5 microns (PM2.5), 0.25 tpy Sulfur Dioxide, 98.00 tpy Oxides of Nitrogen, 26.03 tpy Carbon Monoxide, 6.13 tpy Volatile Organic Compounds, 0.24 tpy total HAPs, and 52.62 tpy Greenhouse Gases CO2 equivalents (CO2e).

Furnas County meets the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for those pollutants subject to a NAAQS and is expected to continue in that status. Furnas County is unclassifiable in regard to the state Total Reduced Sulfur (TRS) standards and no TRS emissions are expected from this project. No impact is anticipated on habitat for any rare or threatened species.
