NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to issue a new National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit to Matt Thomas, owner of TLC Truck Wash, 43311 Road 805, Merna, NE (NPDES# NE0139394; SIC 7542). The privately owned facility cleans and washes agricultural trucks used for livestock production and transport which discharges by land application through a storage lagoon to the Loup River Basin. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
