Draft Annual Report on Modeled Facilities Available Online for Public Comment

(Date) 2017 – The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality’s draft Annual Report on Modeled Facilities is now available for public review and comment.

This report provides an assessment of SO2 emissions data for two areas in the state characterized by air quality modeling, pursuant to the Data Requirements Rule (DRR) for the 2010 Primary SO2 National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). Emissions sources within these areas include Nebraska City Station (Otoe County) and Gerald Gentleman Station (Lincoln County). The assessment provided within the report provides a basis for determination if additional air quality modeling is needed.

During the 30-day public comment period, written comments regarding this Report may be submitted to the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) at the mail or email addresses below. All comments received through 3:30 PM on June 19, 2017 will be considered.

Upon finalization, NDEQ will submit the Annual Report on Modeled Facilities to EPA Region 7 for review and approval/disapproval as required by the Data Requirements Rule.

The draft Report is provided below.
