NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to reissue with change the Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPP) permit for Tecumseh Poultry LLC, for Tecumseh Poultry LLC Fabrication and Distribution Center, 13151 Dovers Street, Waverly, NE (NPP# NE0137723; SIC 2015). The facility fabricates and packages fully processed fresh poultry. Process wastewater is discharged to the City of Waverly publically owned treatment works (POTW) which discharges to an undesignated tributary to Salt Creek, segment LP2-20000 in the Lower Platte River Basin. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
