NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE

The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to reissue with change a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit to Magellan Pipeline Company, L.P. – Irvington Station, 9405 Bennington Road, Omaha, NE (NPDES# NE0131067; SIC 4613) . The facility serves as a pumping station for refined petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel fuel and fuel oil. Outfall 001 discharges non-process wastewater to Little Papillion Creek, Segment MT1-10112, in the Missouri Tributaries River Basin. Non-process wastewater is treated by an oil water separator prior to discharge. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
