The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to reissue with change the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit, Number NE0133671, to the City of Lincoln, 555 S. 10th St., Lincoln, NE. The primary function of the permit is to reduce and/or control pollutant discharges from the City of Lincoln’s MS4. The City’s MS4 outfalls discharge into 13 water bodies or their tributaries. All of the identified segments are within the Lower Platte River Basin, LP-2 Sub-basin. The draft permit contains a Storm Water Management Plan that has been developed by the City of Lincoln to minimize pollutants to their MS4. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The MS4 application, storm water management plan, draft permit, fact sheet, and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
