NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) proposes to reissue with change a Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPP) permit to the Bioiberica Nebraska, Inc., 1660 R St., Geneva, NE (NPP# NE0133710; SIC 2833). The manufacturer of intermediate pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements discharges pharmaceutical manufacturing process wastewater, non-process wash water, and sanitary wastewater. The facility has the ability to discharge through Outfall 001 to Turkey Creek, Segment BB2-40000 in the Big Blue River Basin via the City of Geneva publically owned treatment works. Currently the facility discharges through Outfall 002 to Wood River, segment MP2-10100 in the Middle Platte River Basin via Grand Island publically owned treatment works. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEE’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
