NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE

The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to reissue with change a Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPP) permit to Lincoln Industries, 600 West E St., Lincoln, NE (NPP# NE0114367; SIC 3471), an electroplating job shop that utilizes electroplating, electroless plating, coating and anodizing processes to finish metal items. Treated metal finishing process wastewater and other non-process wastestreams are discharged through Outfall 001 to Salt Creek, segment LP2-20000 of the Lower Platte River Basin via the City of Lincoln’s publically owned treatment system - Theresa Street Wastewater Treatment Facility. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
