NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) proposes to issue a new Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPP) permit for Central Nebraska Truck Wash, Inc., 2030 East Highway 30, Grand Island, NE, (NPP# NE0139629; SIC 7542). The facility washes livestock trucks and trailers. Wastewater is discharged through Outfall 001 to the Grand Island Utilities Ditch, an undesignated tributary of the Wood River, Segment MP2-10100 in the Middle Platte River Basin. Solids created through grit and straw removal will be land applied at sites in the state of Nebraska. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet, and other public information are available for review at NDEE’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
