PUBLIC NOTICE is given in accordance with Title 132 - Integrated Solid Waste Management Regulations, Chapter 2, §011, that the Nebraska Department of Environment & Energy (NDEE) has received a request to transfer Permit #NE0204617 from Prairieland Dairy, LLC to Prairieland Gold Capital, LLC for the Solid Waste Compost Facility. Documentation has been presented to the NDEE which confirms the transfer of the solid waste compost facility to Prairieland Gold Capital, LLC. After review of the request, a preliminary determination has been made to recommend transfer of Permit #NE0204617 to Prairieland Gold Capitol, LLC.

FACILITY DESCRIPTION. The permits allow the operation of an existing solid waste compost facility under Nebraska's solid waste management laws and regulations. Composting shall mean the controlled aerobic, thermophilic, microbial degradation of solid organic material such as raw or treated sewage sludge, animal manure, paunch manure, plant or food residue or their mixtures, to a stabilized humus like material.

FACILITY LOCATION. The property is located 13000 Pella Road, Firth, NE which is approximately 2 ½ miles east of Firth on Firth Road, 1 mile north on 120^th Street, ¾ mile east on Pella Road. The legal description of the facility is SE ¼ SE ¼ Section 20 Township 7 North Range 8 East of the 6^th Principal Meridian Lancaster County, Nebraska.

OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT AND HEARING. The public may submit written comments and may also request a public hearing on the permitting decision. A request for a hearing must be made in writing and state the issues proposed for discussion and their relation to the proposed permit renewal. The NDEE will make a final decision to transfer Permit #NE0204617 based on the compliance status of the solid waste compost facility and public comment received. NDEE will notify the applicant and other interested persons.

COMMENT PERIOD. All comments or requests for a hearing must be postmarked by August 26, 2022.
