NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING FOR PERMIT #NE0203971
G & P DEVELOPMENT, INC. MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE LANDFILL
under consideration by the
Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality
PUBLIC NOTICE is given in accordance with Title 132 - Integrated Solid Waste Management Regulations, Chapter 2, §011, that the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) is conducting a public hearing regarding the proposal to renew the operating permit for the G & P Development, Inc. Municipal Solid Waste Landfill, P.O. Box 63, Milford, NE. The term of the permit shall be June 16, 2017 through June 15, 2022.
FACILITY DESCRIPTION. The permit allows the operation of an existing municipal solid waste landfill under Nebraska's solid waste management laws and regulations. The landfill shall receive household waste, alone or in combination with other types of wastes such as commercial solid waste, industrial waste, nonhazardous sludge, or conditionally exempt small quantity generator waste, and which is not a land application unit, surface impoundment, injection well, or waste pit.
FACILITY LOCATION. The property is located at 427 238th Road which is approximately 3 ½ miles south of Milford on 238th road. The legal description of G & P Development, Inc. Municipal Solid Waste Landfill is the N ½ SE ¼ Section 14 Township 9 North Range 3 East of the 6th Principal Meridian Seward County Nebraska.
PUBLIC HEARING. A public hearing will be conducted on May 31, 2017 at the Milford Webermeier Public Library, 617 2nd Street, Milford, NE starting at 6:00 PM. The public is welcome to attend and make formal comment on the permitting decision. After the hearing the NDEQ Director shall make a final decision. The applicant and other interested persons shall be notified of the decision.

Copies of the draft permit, legal notice and administrative record are available at the Webermeier Public Library, 617 2nd Street, Milford, NE and at the Lincoln headquarters of the NDEQ, 1200 N Street, Suite 400, The Atrium, Lincoln, NE between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.
