The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) proposes to reissue with change the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System/Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPDES/NPP) permit for Camaco, LLC, Columbus Manufacturing, 1815 E. 32nd Avenue, Columbus, NE (NPDES/NPP# NE0000868; SIC 3714), a manufacturer of automobile seat frames and associated products. Metal finishing process wastewater discharges through Outfall 001 and Outfall 003. Combined wastewater discharges through Outfall 005. E-Coat Paint Line Process Rinse Wastewater discharges through Outfall 006. Outfall 001, Outfall 003 and Outfall 006 discharge to the Loup River, Segment LO1-10000 in the Loup River Basin, via the City of Columbus Publicly Owned Treatment Works. Non-contact cooling water and storm water/snowmelt discharge through Outfall 002A to the Loup River Canal, Segment LP1-21800. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet, and other public information are available for review at NDEE’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
