NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) proposes to reissue with change the Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPP) permit to MRK, Inc. - Truck Wash Facility, 606 East Prospect Rd., Lexington, NE (NPP# NE0139009; SIC 7542). This facility cleans and washes livestock and other trucks and trailers. Wastewater discharges Outfall 001 to the Spring Creek segment MP2-20300 in the Middle Platte River Basin via the Lexington Wastewater Treatment Facility. The solids are collected by individual farmers and land applied on their own land. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet, and other public information are available for review at NDEE’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
