The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to reissue with change a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit to the State of Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, 2200 North 33rd St., Lincoln, NE for the Rock Creek Fish Hatchery, 70995 Rock Creek Rd, Parks, NE (NPDES# NE0000281;SIC 0921). The State owned aquaculture facility raises recreational fish species for restocking purposes. Process wastewater discharges from two settling ponds through Outfall 001 to Rock Creek, Segment RE3-40800 in the Republican River Basin. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet, and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
