NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to reissue with change a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit to Chaulk Mound Trout Ranch, 2211 Road 73, Bridgeport, NE (NPDES# NE0133736; SIC 0273), a concentrated aquatic animal production facility. The facility discharges process wastewater generated from rearing vertebrate cold water fish species. Treatment of the wastewater includes settling of solids in a catchment basin prior to discharge through Outfall 001 to the Pumpkin Creek, segment NP3-10400 of the North Platte River Basin. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
