PUBLIC NOTICE is given in accordance with Title 132 - Integrated Solid Waste Management Regulations, Chapter 2, §011, that the Nebraska Department of Environment & Energy (NDEE) has received an application to renew the permit of Solid Waste Agency of Northwest Nebraska, P.O. Box 590, Chadron, NE. After review of the permit application, a preliminary determination has been made to recommend renewal of the permit. The term of the permit shall be March 16, 2020, through March 15, 2030.

FACILITY DESCRIPTION. The permit allows the operation of an existing solid waste transfer station under Nebraska's solid waste management laws and regulations. The transfer station permit allows for the movement of solid wastes that are generated off of the premises of the facility to another solid waste management facility.

FACILITY LOCATION. The property is located at 1010 E Niobrara Ave., Chadron, NE. The legal description of Solid Waste Agency of Northwest Nebraska Solid Waste Transfer Station is SW ¼ NW ¼ Section 16 Township 33 North Range 48 West of the 6^th Principal Meridian Dawes County, Nebraska.

OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT AND HEARING. The public may submit written comments and may also request a public hearing on the permitting decision. A request for a hearing must be made in writing and state the issues proposed for discussion and their relation to the proposed permit renewal. The NDEE will make a final decision to renew or deny the permit based on the permit application, the compliance status of the Solid Waste Agency of Northwest Nebraska Solid Waste Transfer Station, and public comment received. NDEE will publish notice of the final decision and notify the applicant and other interested persons.

COMMENT PERIOD. All comments or requests for a hearing must be postmarked by December 14, 2019.
