Pursuant to the Neb. Rev. Stat. 54-2425 (4) as amended, the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (Department) is issuing notice to provide an opportunity for any interested person to submit written comments on the application for the following animal feeding operation.
This Public Notice period will be from March 29, 2012, through April 30, 2012. Comments made should pertain to issues for which the Department has authority under the Livestock Waste Management Act (Neb. Rev. Stat. Section 54-2416 through 54-2438).

The proposed livestock waste control facility (LWCF) is located in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 21 North, Range 04 West, Madison County, Nebraska. The application as submitted is for a proposed maximum of 1,250 head of swine over 55 pounds.
The proposed LWCF consists of the construction of one building with an underfloor deep pit.
The Department has reviewed the application to ensure compliance with the Livestock Waste Management Act and Title 130–Livestock Waste Control Regulations. Currently, the Department intends to issue a Construction and Operating Permit for the proposed LWCF. Upon completing a review of any written comments received, NDEQ will make a decision on the application and respond to any comments.
