Cost estimates should be broken down into activities and the costs based on those activities. This is an example of a "detailed cost estimate" consisting of a breakdown of activities into categories, tasks, and unit costs.

Closure costs are usually presented in terms of the largest area ever open based on the number of acres or if the landfill is being constructed in phases, the closure costs for each phase should be presented.

Post-closure costs are usually presented as an annual cost for post-closure care of the entire facility, then multiplied by the number of years in the post-closure period.

Please use this as a guideline.
