Annual Needs Survey for Clean Water (Wastewater) Projects Now On Line
October 11, 2012 -- The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality has been contacting Nebraska communities, Natural Resources Districts, consultants and engineers to provide them the annual “Needs Survey” for Clean Water (Wastewater) projects. The agency is also making this Needs Survey available on line, and the survey can be submitted electronically to NDEQ.
NDEQ annually sends this form to every community in Nebraska to survey them about their Wastewater Infrastructure or Nonpoint Source Control (such as Watershed Improvement Projects) needs. Filling out this survey in no way commits a community to undertaking a wastewater project or signing a Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan. Communities are asked to submit the Needs Survey by December 31st each year, in order to be considered for the Clean Water State Revolving Loans and related grants. The state evaluates these Needs Surveys to establish communities’ rankings in the Intended Use Plan of the Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund.
